📜 Community Connections

Taking on a researched character through performance creates an unforgettable experience for the students. These performances allow students to take their learning beyond the textbook. - Julie Brisbin and Nicole Hansen

Our teachers have incredible ideas to make learning engaging, but those ideas often need extra funding to come to life. That’s where Excellence in Education has stepped in!

A $1,300 grant from Excellence in Education funded new costumes for Colonial and Gold Rush costumes for Student Expeditions, a unique experience that engages our students’ by bringing history to life.

Over the last two years, their grants have provided our school with $13,134 to support:
  • Science kits for 2nd grade – $1,072
  • Calming corner and sensory kits – $447
  • Decodable book sets for small group instruction – $3,485
  • Bilingual lending libraries – $489
  • Kindergarten learning and SEL support tools – $839
  • Big Life Journals for social-emotional learning – $1,378
  • And more!
Now we need YOUR help. Excellence in Education’s Support Our Students fundraiser runs from October 20–26 with a goal of $30,000. Every dollar tells a story of more grants awarded, more classrooms supported, and more opportunities for your kids.
