📢 Important Info

Cold and Flu Season is Around the Corner

It's Fall y'all! Even though it still feels like summer, cooler temperatures and falling leaves are on their way, which means we’re getting into cold and flu season. In an effort to keep everyone healthy at school, please remember to keep your students home if they are sick. We recommend that your child stay home if they are experiencing illness symptoms, and we’ve provided a few guidelines below to help you make the decision.

Please keep your child at home for treatment and observation if they have any of these symptoms:
  • Fever greater than 100ºF - Your child must stay home until they are fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.
  • Vomiting - Your student may only return to school after 24 hours without vomiting.
  • Cough and Cold Symptoms - Please keep your students home if they have worsening cough and cold symptoms.

🍎Principal's Corner

Fieldwork is a cornerstone of our educational program, and we are deeply passionate about it because of its profound impact on student learning and character development.

Thank you to all the parents who have volunteered to make our fall fieldwork trips a reality. These shared experiences create lasting memories for you and your children. Our main fieldwork seasons run from September through mid-October and from mid-April through May. Because we rely on parent drivers and chaperones to make these trips possible, please plan ahead so you can join us!

We also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our crew leaders, who manage countlessly detailed logistics for each excursion. If you sign up to volunteer, please honor your commitment for the full duration of the trip. Last-minute changes create significant administrative challenges, and we want our crew leaders to focus their energy on engaging instruction rather than reconfiguring carpools and finding replacement drivers.

We have two more trips scheduled for this fall, and it is always inspiring to hear our students reflect on their academic and personal growth upon their return.

You can hear these student reflections firsthand during the “Fieldwork Files” segment at our upcoming Community Crew meetings. Please join us for our very first student-led Community Crew on Tuesday at 9:15 AM!

💡 Reminders

We greatly appreciate everyone's assistance with volunteering to make food and lending coolers for fieldwork! Just a friendly reminder to pick up your coolers and storage containers once your child's Crew has returned from FW. You can find coolers in front of the office, and storage containers are in the office on the FW table. Thanks again for your support!
