School Attendance Reminder: Every Minute Counts in Our Learning Community

We sent out 23 attendance/tardy letters last week. That’s a lot for the second full month of school. Attendance letters will be going out at the end of each month. School start times are 7:30 am for Middle School and 9:10 am for Elementary. We appreciate your support ensuring your students are on time for school every day. If your child will be absent from school, we must be informed by 10:00am on the date of absence. We also need to know the reason for the absence.

Just a reminder that every minute of the school day counts. When students arrive late or leave early, they miss essential morning community routines, key instructional lessons, end-of-day reviews, and time with their peers. Additionally, late arrivals and early pickups disrupt the learning environment for the entire classroom.
To help ensure every student gets the most out of their school day, please keep the following in mind:
  • Aim for On-Time Arrival: Ensure your student arrives before the morning bell so they can start their day prepared and calm.
  • Schedule Appointments Outside School Hours: Whenever possible, please schedule medical, dental, and personal appointments after dismissal.
  • Reserve Early Pickups for Emergencies: Limit early check-outs to urgent and unavoidable situations.

Thank you for your partnership, dedication, and support in making school attendance a top priority for our children!
