At the October 28, 2026 Special Board Meeting, Trustees voted unanimously to approve the
Stay Agreement with the California Department of Education (CDE) and community stakeholder counsel regarding TTUSD athletics.
The agreement will take effect as soon as all parties sign the final document. As a reminder, this action preserves the status quo: all TTUSD teams currently competing in the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA) will remain there without penalty, rather than moving to the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). The Stay will remain in effect while three mutually identified Ninth Circuit court cases work their way through the legal system. We will continue to share updates as relevant information becomes available regarding these cases.
